Kathy Bruins is the founder of The Well ministries which helps Christian artists take the next step in their journey through consultation, networking, teaching, coaching and praying. Prayer is important to Kathy and has led many organizations in corporate prayer. Kathy serves as President of Word Weavers West Michigan. She speaks at conferences, women’s retreats, churches, and human trafficking events. Kathy also includes drama in her presentations when possible.

 

 

 

 

 

Gene Koon has worked in churches as a youth/music minister with a degree from the Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO. He is also a licensed bachelor social worker in the State of Michigan, where he currently lives in Grand Rapids. He has written two novels and a few short stories. He is also a member of Word Weavers.

 

 

 

 

Our Fabulous Faculty:

Crystal Bowman is a bestselling, award-winning author of over 100 books for children including Our Daily Bread for Kids, The One Year Book of Devotions for Preschoolers, My Grandma and Me, and M is for Manger. She writes lyrics for children’s piano music and stories for Clubhouse Jr. magazine. She is a Mentor and speaker for MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) and teaches workshops at writers’ conferences. She currently writes for Discovery House, Tyndale, and Zonderkidz. Her desire is to teach children that God loves them and cares for them very much. Crystal is a mother and grandmother. She and her husband divide their time between Florida and Michigan—wherever the weather is best!

 

Morgan L. Busse is a writer by day and a mother by night. She is the author of the Follower of the Word series, the award-winning steampunk series The Soul Chronicles, and soon to be released fantasy from Bethany House: the Ravenwood Saga. Her debut novel, Daughter of Light, was a Christy and Carol Award finalist. During her spare time she enjoys playing games, taking long walks, and dreaming about her next novel.  Julie Crane (Prayer Coordinator)  is a pastor’s wife and has for a long time been passionate about prayer and trusting in the Lord.  Her blog: Intermissions for Hope inspires others to do the same. Antonio L. Crawford is the President of Crawford Irby International Foundation 501(c)3, CEO of Christians Ignite and COO of Inspirational Moments. He’s a publisher, speaker and author of several books and ebooks including Henrietta the Hyena, CX Loan Solution, Creating Multiple Streams of Income with Information Products and Christian Authors Unite. He earned his MBA and Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing at the University of Phoenix, a degree in ministry from Amora Deliverance Theological Institute and a degree in Computer Science at Coastline Community College.  Antonio uses his experience and talent to help Infopreneurs publish and market their books.

 

 

Kim de Blecourt is an international speaker and the award-winning author of Until We All Come Home. Kim is an adoptive parent and passionate orphan care advocate. She currently serves as the executive director of Nourished Hearts, an international orphan care non-profit. Kim lives in Michigan with her husband, Jahn, daughter, Jacey, and son, Jacob, along with their cat-like dog and a talkative parrot.

 

 

                                                                                      

Lindsay A. Franklin is an award-winning author, award-winning freelance editor, and homeschooling mom. She would wear pajama pants all the time if it were socially acceptable. She spends a lot of time in made-up worlds, and she’s passionate about sparking imagination through stories of infinite possibility. Her debut fantasy novel, The Story Peddler, releases May 1, 2018. When she’s not exploring the fantastical, she’s exploring the Bible and encouraging young women through her devotional books. Lindsay lives in San Diego with her husband, their three children, three thunder pillows (a.k.a. cats), and a stuffed wombat with his own Instagram following.

 

 

 

S.D. Grimm’s first love in writing is young adult speculative fiction. She is represented by Julie Gwinn of the Seymour Agency and author of debut novel Scarlet Moon. She currently has four books under contract, including the remainder of her YA fantasy series Children of the Blood Moon. When she’s not writing or editing, Sarah enjoys reading (of course!), practicing kickboxing and Brazilian jiu jitsu, most outdoorsy activities, and a good Netflix binge here and there. Andrew Hamlet (technical expert) is a gifted storyteller and teacher who uses his skills to further the truth of the gospel through his stories. Andrew Hamlet resides in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with his wife and four children. Andrew sang and told stories through  80 songs and countless stories.   Andrew engages culture and is an influence for change.  He wants to ensure the marketplace is filled with strong stories that challenge people to seek out God, not just pleasure.  Andrew completed a 4-year degree at Cornerstone University with a Communication Arts major. He completed film school at compass arts film academy. There he focused on creating compelling stories and characters.  Andrew has worked for Apple Inc. for ten years and has a broad knowledge of all things creative.

 

Jeri Howe’s passion to share God’s life-changing truth in practical and engaging ways has lead to a variety of expressions over the years including  speaking at women’s events, church conferences and leading workshops, writing Bible Studies, blogs and self-publishing a short novel, Kamea, producing and co-hosting a radio show called Survival Skills for Everyday Living, leading worship, leading small groups, equipping speakers while on staff at the Speak Up Conference with Carol Kent. Currently, Jeri is the Media & Communications Director at Lakeshore Vineyard Church where she also serves on the teaching team. She lives with her husband Jason in West Michigan where you might find her catching up with her older teen children or playing with her new mini beagle-dachshund named Gus.

 

Amy Klanderman (Inspirational Thoughts) Amy Klanderman has been described as “sparkly,” “shiny,” and “a real firecracker.”  Some days she is none of those things, but she is always a mom, wife, preacher, and encourager.  Her passion revolves around sharing the living and breathing Word of God with people of all ages through wonder and imagination.  She does this through exploring scripture in Hebrew and Greek and then embodying what she finds there through storytelling and dramatic teaching.  She is inspired by sunsets, scruffing through fall leaves, a good book or movie, sleeping babies, and seeing the wonders of created things while traveling with her family.  Her life is summed up by the theme of her autobiography, which someday she may actually begin, entitled “Amazed by God.”  Go God … amaze us again!

 

 

Lisa Lewis Koster is living proof that God can use ordinary people to do the extraordinary. Travelling to Africa while suffering from chronic pain and barely able to walk, Lisa’s Koster’s mundane faith transformed into a life lived with reckless abandon! As a Bible teacher and speaker, she encourages all to abundant living through the Scriptures. Lisa lives with her husband Bob in West Michigan having raised their blended family of 5 children. When she’s not caring for her adorable and active grandsons, Lisa is an avid reader who loves to spend time digging into the Bible, teaching, gardening, and sewing.

                                                                                                                                                                                

 

 

 

Indirah Michmerhuizen (Photographer) has a special gift when it comes to capturing the spirit of a person in her photographs. She has become a professional photographer over the last few years but has many years experience in taking photos. She loves to photograph people in many settings such as family portraits, weddings, sporting events, and more. Looking for a new headshot? Chris Morris writes about redefining normal and building hope in the face of chronic illnesses and special needs. His writing is founded on the belief that circumstances don’t prevent thriving, but create opportunities for God to demonstrate his goodness. By day, he is the founder and managing partner of the creatively named accounting firm Chris Morris CPA, so Chris brings a unique analytic perspective to deeply emotional topics. He also provides a full breadth of tax and accounting services to the creative entrepreneurial space.

 

 

Gloria Penwell-Holtzlander’s expertise and love of the writing world comes from years of traveling with her husband, Dan. Together they attended hundreds of writers conferences while Dan was Acquisitions Editor at AMG Publishing. Gloria is the CLASS Christian Writers Conference Assistant Director. She is an incredible encourager and understands what the writing life is about. Gloria will be representing Bold Vision Books.

 

Kristen Stieffel is a freelance editor specializing in speculative fiction. Associate editor of Havok, a flash fiction magazine featuring science fiction and fantasy genres. She provides a full range of editorial services. The list of projects includes business nonfiction and Bible studies.  She has edited novels in many genres for both the general market and the Christian submarket. Kristen is a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association and Christian Editor Connection and is a Word Weavers International mentor. Roberto “Tito” Venegas is called to be a church planter, pastor, and musician for God’s kingdom. He has a passion for walking with people from different cultures and languages to help them see for themselves the beautiful work God is doing in their lives and realize the perfect plan God has for them. Tito moved from Costa Rica ten years ago to follow God’s plan in his life. He enjoys bringing people from different cultures together so they can grow in their spiritual walk and in relationships. He wants to help people imagine Revelation 7:9 by giving them a taste of what it will be like to worship God with people from every nation and language. He serves as a pastor in Holland

 


Cyle Young
is a renowned literary agent and award-winning author of over 20 writing awads. In just over a year, Cyle sold over 70 of his client’s books to publishing houses and he currently represents authors who have combined to sell over 20 million books. In November of 2018, Cyle’s book, Live the Adventure!, releases with Worthy publishing. When not writing or representing books, Cyle travels across the U.S. speaking at many conferences, including regional writer’s conferences in OH, and NC, hosted by his own company, Serious Writer Inc. Cyle is also passionate about training writers through in-person instruction and his on-line writing school, Serious Writer Academy.
