Cornelius Bornman is a creative visionary and storyteller whose talents range from juggling, pottery, to writing, baking, and gardening. Having worn many hats over the years—Children’s Ministry Director, elder, preacher, teacher, small group leader, and Youth for Christ board member—Cornelius brings both depth and creativity to every role he serves in ministry and life.
In 2021, after his youngest daughter experienced heart and kidney failure, Cornelius became her living kidney donor. Through that miracle and her full recovery, he has witnessed firsthand the power and faithfulness of God. His journey as a donor inspired him to compete in the Donor Games, where he placed third in the 2023 CrossFit competition, bringing awareness to living kidney donation and showing that life after donation can be healthy, thriving, and purpose-filled.
A devoted husband to his childhood sweetheart, Cherri, and father to three daughters, Cornelius carries a contagious faith, creativity, and strength that overflow into every part of his life. A member of Word Weavers International in Greenville, Michigan, he is currently writing his first book and continues to inspire others through his story of perseverance, family, and faith.
