“Fear not.” It’s written 365 times in Scripture—one for every day of the year. Coincidence? Not a chance. God knows we need daily reminders that courage isn’t the absence of fear—it’s faith in action.
As part of The Well Conference for Creatives, Abundance Books is thrilled to announce a special writing contest for our upcoming collaborative devotional which will encourage readers to “fear not.”
What We’re Looking For:
- Facing fear head-on with trust in God
- Personal stories of courageous faith
- Moments of divine boldness in the face of anxiety, doubt, or uncertainty
- Scriptural truth paired with personal application and prayer
Submission Details:
- Word Count: 750 words, give or take 10%.
- Do not put your name or email on your document.
- Do include your name and email in the submission form.
- Format: Devotional (Scripture, personal story, application, prayer) plus five reflection questions for the rest of the week.
- Title of devotional, centered
- Bible verse centered, in italics
- Bible verse reference not italicized on a separate line, centered, with Bible version abbreviated

- Body of devotional. Do not indent the first paragraph. Indent all other paragraphs per Abundance Books Style Guide.

- Submission Fee: $35.00
- Deadline: Submissions must be received by May 18, 2025
- Prize: Top winners will be recognized at The Well Conference in 2025. Selected devotions will be published in the upcoming compilation with a target publication date of Fall 2026. Authors published in the compilation will receive one free copy of the book and the rights to purchase additional books at a 50% discount. Contributors are welcome to sell the book through their own channels.
