Delight-Driving Creative Ministries

By Marnie Swedberg

Ever wonder how to experience more joy on the journey while avoiding burnout, time-consuming setbacks, or even impostor syndrome? I’m sharing exactly how to find your true identity in Christ during my session at The Well on the topic, Uniquely You: Step Into Success

Right here, right now, let me share five often overlooked pathways to finding delight as you work.

  1. Work inside the parameters of your God-given mission, appointments, and anointing. There is nothing more draining than trying to do things you were never created, equipped, or called to do.
  2. Be authentically you. As mentioned above, there is a version of you that aligns with God’s design. When He strung your three billion base pairs of DNA together, He did it in a particular way. The best way to be a goal-getting world-changer, without suffering from impostor syndrome, is to live full out in your true identity in Christ.
  3. Smile. Now that you’re work is aligned with God’s design, get excited! Add “passion” to your work. Find things to enjoy about it. It’s one thing to be active, it’s a whole other level of power to vibrate with joy, gratitude, and delight as you work. Try it! You’ll be amazed at what starts to happen when you whistle as you work.
  4. Keep Learning. This is why I love The Well. We come together to learn and grow, connect and soar. If you can find a way, join us there this year! Be sure to join my class for more on exactly HOW to live out your full potential in Christ.
  5. Celebrate the Growth. There is nothing more motivating in our lives than seeing growth in ourselves, our children, and others. Growth is the natural result of a healthy work-life. As you step more completely into your true identity in Christ, while you work, new ideas will flow. Same actions: Same results. New actions: New results.

Delight is far beyond contentment or even satisfaction. Delight comes when we are doing what we were created to do, using the resources God provides (energy, money, relationships), for His glory and honor.

And, why not!?!
