Why join a writers group? Our class will introduce you to the benefits of critique meetings and guide you to choose one with an effective dynamic. We’ll discuss the format and standards set by the industry’s renowned Word Weavers International. Participants will learn best practices for self-editing and offering and excellent critique. Bring the first paragraph of your WIP (or 1500 words, if a continuing class). “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another” (Proverbs 27:17). Licensed as a counselor since 2005, she has over twenty years of experience teaching adults, teens, and children in academic, clinical, and faith-based settings. Yeager serves on the steering committee of Advanced Writers and Speakers Association, as director of traditional groups with Word Weavers International, and as an active member of the Christian Authors Network and Christian Women in Media Association.
