Linda Joyce Kane was born in Webster, Massachusetts on Lake Chaubunagungamaug, her happy place throughout her life. She was born into a creative family, the most notable, great uncle Warren Wheelock, 1880-1960. His artwork became the overarching influence in her creative life.
Her family exposed her to wonderful art and visited many famous art museums in New York City. She pursued a life of art expression and integrated creative activities throughout her career as a teacher, social worker, and therapist. She is a woman of God and has enjoyed co-creating with the Holy Spirit to tell stories in her various mediums of expression.
She was given her first diary at age 11, wrote short stories, kept scrapbooks, and created huge family photography books. Her Bachelor’s degree (BA) thesis was titled “The Therapeutic Value of Diary and Journal Writing.” Today, she keeps a visual journal on a daily basis and has done so since April 2013. It is from this background she will lead journal making workshops at The Well.
