How do you resurrect your creativity?

You dig, right into your story.

Over three decades ago, I slowly hid my heart and buried my creative craft of writing. I was told, “You cannot write. Write differently. You write too detailed.” And when I did write, it was criticized and stripped down.

I faced a war. I loved to write, but I learned to hate writing.

Yet, there were some writing obligations I had to complete. Plus, I was a teacher. For goodness sake, was a student’s parent going to come to my classroom and tell me, “You cannot write?”

Several years prior to this beating down of my writing, I had won the creative writing award my senior year in high school. I had forgotten about that award, until I dug into my card board box of memorabilia of my high school years, and there the truth jumped out at me. You love to write and to create.

Yes, friend, we dig into our story to resurrect our craft. No matter what that craft is.

Mine is writing.

Yours is what?

And now fast forward to today …

In 2026, my sixth and seventh books are to be released. So God.

The beginning to awaken me was this honor: in 2010, I wrote about fear and my first published writing was selected from over 40 participates for the first chapter in a coaching book called, Live Big, by Dr. Katie Brazelton.

I wrote.

Then I co-authored a book with two other coaches called, Submersed in the Secret Sorrow of Infertility.

Next, I wrote an article for “Just Between Us” Magazine called Grow JOY!

And I kept writing. And I kept digging into my story.

Will you dig into your story?

Will you head toward your craft you want to create?

I chose to resurrect my creatively after years of living in abuse and loss.

I chose to write every day for one year, then another year, and another year, and I have written almost every day for the last 12 years of my life and that is how I have learned to dig into my story to harvest the gold that is to come forth from my story.

So will you dig into your story?

Will you do the hard?

It takes work and a want to. There are no magic wands. We humans have to take the action steps if we want to live by faith and become all we are meant to become.

As we step into our created potential, the fear, the lies fall off us. And the most beautiful gift happens, we grow closer to our Creator and He heals us and draws us nearer to Him. After all, to create calls for a connection with our Creator.

Try Him out.

Dig into your story.

Learn. Grieve. Create. And keep on creating as your heart will soar and sing.

And join me, See You at The Well Conference. As this conference will feed your thirty soul to create.
